Mirror image of its right-hand counterpart, the Heritage Aluminium French Doors with Left Side Panel puts the fixed glazed panel to the left of the door pair — a configuration chosen as often for the practicalities of a specific opening as for aesthetic preference.
Classic Heritage Styling with Modern Performance
Left or right rarely comes down to appearance alone — it's usually dictated by which side of the opening has the wall depth to take a fixed panel, or which side suits the layout of the room on the other side of the door. Whichever the reason, the left panel is detailed identically to a right-hand version, with the same horizontal glazing bars carried through from the door leaves.
Exceptional Thermal Efficiency
As with every configuration in this range, the left side panel shares the 64mm thermally broken aluminium profile used across the door leaves, so the fixed and opening sections perform identically. The assembly holds a 1.4 W/m²K u-value overall, with 28mm toughened double glazing and a black warm edge spacer bar fitted throughout.
Advanced Security Built In
With the left panel fixed and internally beaded, there's no opening point on that side of the frame at all — the two door leaves carry the entire locking mechanism, engaging at multiple points along the frame and backed by a cylinder and handle designed to resist forced entry.
